Uniqua Smith: Week 3 Response:

The State State Farm commercial is what came to mind when this prompt was assigned. I'm so used to this commercial every time that it comes on which kind of makes me love it, but knowing most of the words kind of makes me want to hate it. Something drastic usually always has to happen in these commercials that makes the customer want to buy this insurance. In this particular commercial though, two women see a bag that they like. One does the jingle "Like a good neighbor State Farm is there" and a representative pops up. He tells her what she saved from her discount double check and it's enough for her to get the bag. Only one gets to have it though, because she saved money while the other makes up her own jingle of trying to find money. An older man appears and taunts her with a dollar. This is just meant to entice new customer's into buying State Farm because their customer's seem to save money, and who doesn't want to save money. They like to show how their representatives are always there for them and how they have their customers' backs. They want to be the best insurance company there is.
