Moises Urena: Week 1 Response

Moises Urena: Week 1 Response

“Mr. Robot” in the 1950’s

[Slowly panning through thousands of books on bookshelves in a dim lit room]

NARRATOR:
Although the war was over, there was still a battle going on behind the scenes. This group was formed so countries could help other countries solve problems and so human rights would be respected everywhere in the world. At least that’s what they told the world. They called themselves the United Nations. Lester Moore was the leader of this group of frauds. His real goal was to slowly take over every country possible. The plan was to expand America until at least half the countries in the world were under America’s control.
Eliot Alderson knew the truth about the United Nations because his father was once apart of the UN. His father’s name is Edward Alderson but the UN made sure to do everything in their power to erase his name from the history books.

[Dozens of books are scattered around the floor. Pages are ripped out of all the books]

ELLIOT: [Wakes up frantically and looks at the two bags of ripped out papers] What happened?! Where is everyone?!

EDWARD: [Peaking around the corner of a doorway] Now is not the time Elliot. We have to hurry up and get out of here.

ELLIOT: What is happening?!

EDWARD: What’s happening is people are going to finally find out the truth about what the UN is really planning. Now keep it down before they hear us.

ELLIOT: Who is going to hear us? Where is everyone?

[Voice of a man in the distance yells “This room is clear. Keep checking!”]

EDWARD: They are going to hear us. Now come on. Everyone is probably already in the Theatre 64 waiting for us.

[Both ELLIOT and EDWARD leave the room while crouching]

[Both enter a long hallway with multiple doors and hear two men coming]
EDWARD: [Jiggles the door handles of 3 doors and whispers] Elliot they’re going to catch us. You have to pick the lock. We’re running out of time.

[The men that they heard are quickly approaching and are about to see both ELLIOT and EDWARD]

ELLIOT: [Pulls out a small sack with three metal tools an begins to unlock the door. He drops one of the pieces and picks it back up nervously]

EDWARD: Hurry Elliot. You’ve been doing this for almost a decade now. Right now is not the time to mess up

ELLIOT: [Manages to unlock the door. They both enter quickly. They close the door behind them just as the two men they heard turn the corner onto the hallway they were in.] You were so much help (Sarcasm)

EDWARD: [Waits for two men to walk pass the door and are far enough to not hear them speaking] Help?! How much more help can I give other than planning this whole thing? Now what was that out there? You cannot have mess ups like that when we are this close to the end. Get it together and don’t forget why we’re here. [Voice begins to fade away but is still speaking]

ELLIOT: [Thinks to himself] He’s right. I’ve picked locks a million times harder than the one on this door. This should’ve been a breeze. I guess the thought of “What’s next” is starting to distract me. After we do this, there is no telling what’s to happen. What if we get caught? We’ll be in prison for life if not killed brutally. I have to make sure we don’t get caught. I can’t let everyone who helped get killed because of me. [Edward yells]

EDWARD: [Voice fades back in.] ELLIOT! ELLIOT! Are you listening we have to get out of here.

[Doorknob begins to jiggle. Focus on the doorknob wiggling]

EDWARD: [Quietly, to ELLIOT] Don’t tell me you forgot to lock the door.

[GOES TO COMMERCIAL]

[BACK FROM COMMERCIAL}

ELLIOT: [Zooming out from ELLIOT’S face with the sound of the doorknob loudly jiggling]. This is it. They’re going to kill us all. They probably have already caught all of the others.

[Door opens up slowly showing that it is the 4 people ELLIOT came with to expose he UN for what they really are]

DARLENE: Elliot. What are you doing? We’ve been waiting for half an hour for you to come to the theatre. We thought the guards had caught you.

SUNIL:  We heard your voice when we passed the door. So I picked the lock thinking you were in danger.  Who were you talking to?

ELLIOT: [Stares in confusion and pauses] Nobody.

DARLENE: [Walks over to Elliot and whispers] Were you seeing dad again?

ELLIOT: [Looks around nervously] Yes.

DARLENE: Now is not a good time for that Elliot. He died because of these asshole UN monsters. We have to shut them down for good for him. Not get shut down by them for good because of dad

ELLIOT: You’re right [Looks at everyone]. Let’s go, there’s a door that leads to the theatre this way.

THE END
