I chose to blog about how How I Met Your Mother uses social rules of everyday modern living in their show. Barney Stinson, a main character in the television series, creates blogs on the internet called "The Bro Code," adding comical concepts and theories of the life of Barney. I have chosen to make a remix of The Olive Theory into a life of a college student.
The Bro Code: The Cashew Theory
James and Bella are two Rutgers college students who just met through their Intro to Communications class. After class has ended and feeling hungry, James asks Bella if she wants to grab a bite to eat. The two students decide to go to the new store in The Yard, Bella's Burgers. James goes on to order a big juicy cheeseburger and cheesy fries while Bella orders a salad. When they finally receive their meals, Bella notices there are cashews in her salad and immediately becomes very distressed and complains how she hates nuts. Very joyfully, James utters how cashews are his favorite type of nuts and he is more than happy to take them off her hands. Both students then begin to enjoy their meals leaving the store very content in the end. Although Bella does not have the craving for cashews as James does, they do end up a perfect match for each other. Opposites do attract, thus making "The Cashew Theory."
