From the reading, I am taking the themes of using descriptive language and story telling to describe my visual work of art, a commercial promoting Freehold Chrysler Jeep. I used the reading of this week to base how I would formulate my ekphrasis as well as my former writing knowledge. I was most concerned with making an extremely descriptive summary of the visual art I selected. The limitations is how far you can go in describing the art, you don't have that much room for creativeness since you are restricting to reciting the visual art. I decided to take the ad and make it very persuasive and in the eyes of a viewer. I made a simple representation of the ad, even though the deal isn't as good as it sounds to be. It was the first thing that popped up in my mind in making my ekphrasis. I learned what ekphrasis is and I learned how to apply what I learned in the reading to my own writing.
