Uniqua Smith: Week 1 Response:

"Shock" "Shock" "Shock"
Life happens, when this happens it's time to move on. To accept the present and try to move on and make it the past. Science isn't as advanced as it will be.
The cries, Oh god, someone's gone. Someone's dead...
Come back to us. Come back to your friends, your patchwork family.
She's gone, she's brain dead. He survived, O'Malley survived. The bus he jumped in front of to save a civilian didn't kill him. He's a hero before he even left for the army. Brave.
Izzie. She fought hard, but the brain cancer fought harder.
Her husband, brand new husband Karev just started to really love her. Just started to really know what good love was, and now she's gone.
O'Malley's burns, they will heal eventually, but not the thought of losing his best friend.
Was she an organ donor? Yes. Who will her organs go to? It doesn't matter. She will save people. She worked so hard just to become a doctor. All that potential, just gone. This is what she would have wanted.
The funeral.
Everyone's crying. Then laughter. A little burst of laughter from Karev, her husband, and then from all of her friends. Her little patchwork family. She wouldn't want anyone to be crying. She was such a dramatically cheerful person. Everyone has to laugh.
There's so many stages of grief, but eventually acceptance will have to be one.
Don't take life for granted. Let your loved ones know you love them. Life's to precious.
